On 6.10.2022, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with Bad Boy / Atlantic / Rhino Records and The Christopher Wallace Estate, will host an iconic orchestral tribute to The Notorious B.I.G that will honor his legacy. The creative black-tie event will feature a concert symphony performance of Biggie’s songs from the multi-platinum album, Ready to Die and R.I.A.A. Diamond Certified Life After Death. Miguel Atwood-Ferguson will arrange and conduct it, with appearances by The Originals and other special guests.

The event, part of Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City, is free to the public (first come-first served, doors at 6:30 pm) with a very limited number of free advanced reservation tickets available starting June 6. Visit the Lincoln Center website for more information on this once in a lifetime experience.

Composer Miguel Atwood-Furguson notes, “Christopher Wallace wasn’t just an extremely charismatic, intelligent, rare, skilled, and elite rapper, he was and is someone that represents freedom, excellence, and transcendence for all people. His heart and spirit is what touches and inspires us. His legacy is on an upward trajectory, and I can’t wait to share an orchestral impression of some of my favorite music of his. Being able to pay tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. with an orchestra at Lincoln Center is one of the greatest honors and joys of my life.”

DJ Clark Kent of The Originals, says “Biggie is the best rapper ever. But more important, he was one of the most genuine people I’ve ever worked with and became friends with. The time we shared will never be forgotten. The music we made together, like “Sky’s The Limit” and “Players Anthem” are timeless. It was an honor to share those moments with him. He will forever be missed by me.”

Yesterday, SiriusXM launched a new limited-run channel, Notorious Radio, that will honor the legacy of Brooklyn-born rapper and celebrate the 25th anniversary of his notable album Life After Death.
