UNINTERRUPTED celebrates “athlete-as-creator” during inaugural Uninterrupted Film Festival, powered by Tribeca Festival

The sold-out event welcomed 800+ attendees including LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Joel Embiid, Draymond Green, Trae Young, Juju Watkins, Ceyair Wright, and more

Yesterday (7.13.2023), UNINTERRUPTED, the athlete empowerment brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, and Tribeca, the multi-platform entertainment company founded by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro, brought to life UNINTERRUPTED Film Festival powered by Tribeca Festival, the first-ever athlete-led film festival in Los Angeles at Neuehouse Hollywood.

The sold out event was at maximum capacity for each programming block with 800+ attendees attending the inaugural event.

During the inaugural UNINTERRUPTED Film Festival, attendees received an exclusive look at three upcoming releases — GOLIATH, the three-part documentary series from SHOWTIME SPORTS that examines the historic life, career and impact of Wilt Chamberlain, Black Ice, the 2022 TIFF People’s Choice Award winner that exposes a history of racism in hockey through the untold stories of Black hockey players, both past and present, and Destination NBA: A G League Odyssey, the new documentary that follows some of the most intriguing prospects in the NBA G League as they compete to earn the ultimate reward of an NBA roster spot.

GOLIATH will debut on demand and on streaming on Friday, July 14 for all Paramount+ With SHOWTIME subscribers and make its on-air debut on SHOWTIME® on Sunday, July 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Additionally, Grindstone Entertainment and Roadside Attractions will release Black Ice exclusively at AMC Theatres nationwide Friday, July 14.

Lastly, Destination NBA: A G League Odyssey will premiere Tuesday, August 8 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide

Throughout the day, UNINTERRUPTED hosted one-of-a-kind “State of The Game” conversations where athletes, industry partners and filmmakers gathered to celebrate women in sports, talk about navigating the world of NIL as a tool to empower the next generation of athletes and share the importance of athlete storytelling in the Hollywood landscape.

The programming concluded with an exclusive live podcast recording of The Draymond Green Show presented by The Volume with special guest Trae Young.
