“Kings… Come Home” brings impactful storytelling to Harlem in North American debut presented by National Black Theatre and Kip Republic, in partnership with The Apollo and New York Theatre Workshop

After a sold-out run in Amsterdam, Ira Kip and Winston ‘Winne’ Bergwijn’s “Kings… Come Home” made its North American debut at The Apollo Stages at The Victoria Theater on Saturday, March 8th.

Attendees included globally recognized entertainers, artists, tastemakers and leaders in the theater industry, all of whom collectively came together to experience the story of a family’s battle with displacement, uplifting their perseverance along their quest to find ‘home’.

Faced with adversities both seen and unseen, including systemic injustices and colonialism, this family’s story addresses intergenerational themes of belonging and identity.

This story aptly follows National Black Theatre’s seasonal theme titled: “The Pilgrimage: A Journey Back Home”.

“Kings… Come Home” runs through March 16, 2025 at The Apollo Stages at The Victoria Theater.
