New York rapper Kel$z Luchie releases new ‘MIXY’ EP plus drops single and visuals for “Rollin”.

New York rapper Kel$z Luchie is back with a new EP ‘MIXY’, which is a follow-up to his single, “Michigan Dunks“. The four-song EP is just a taste to wet fans’ pallets with his creativity and what is to come. ‘MIXY’ encompassed four different vibes/styles that blend to make one sound. The first single off the EP is “Rollin” produced by Raxks & Fez, with the video directed by MansaFID. Other producers featured on the EP are Misha, K6 Beatz, & GAMEOVER.

I decided to put something together that defines me and my sound at the moment,” states Kel$z. “It’s a mixture of everything that’s going on in Hip Hop right now with my twist to it, that’s how I came up with the title ‘MIXY’.”

Kel$z Luchie is also set to perform at “Haiko & Friends Presented by Mercury Lounge” on Thursday, August 19 at Mercury Lounge (217 East Houston Street, New York, NY). The doors open at 9 pm EST. Also on the lineup is Aura De Luna, Clinton Elliott, Eric Flair, and Young Wepa.

Born and raised on the west side of the Bronx on Heath Avenue (Kingsbridge), the 25-year-old Dominican & Columbian rapper credits his sound to the influences all around him. “Being outside every day is mainly where I get my inspiration from. I have much more to talk about in my music.” He continues, “I grew up in a musical household – my father is a musician and my older brother was always listening to rap, so these influences made me appreciate music at a young age.” Kel$z’s unique New York sound was cemented with the release of countless singles and freestyles, plus his 2017 album ‘Real Fake’ and 2018’s ‘456’.

In early 2020, he released the ‘Y2K Joints’ EP. The 4-track freestyle EP featured short freestyles over the following instrumentals: Sisqo’s “Thong Song”; Fabolous’ “Young’n (Holla Back)”; Nelly’s “Hot In Herre”; and Jagged Edge’s “Where The Party At”. He plans to release a longer version with additional freestyles a little later this year. But first, Kel$z is working on another EP to be released shortly.
