junclassic and Uncommon Nasa announce their upcoming single, “F.E.B.”.

junclassic (one word, all lowercase) began his professional underground Hip Hop career as a mainstay emcee over jazz and soul-influenced production.

While he delivered a balance of tradition and experimentation in this styling, he also wanted to take a further left field step.

This began when he arrived at the 2012 Yule Prog showcase (organized by Uncommon Nasa in New York City).

Nursing a curiosity in Nasa’s otherworldly sound science, paired with Nasa’s poetic diatribes on Hip-Hop’s profound effect on his adolescent development, enticed jun’s interest in what a junclassic and Uncommon Nasa collab could be.

The two began early work shortly after that event, but a fully conceptualized album from that period was put on hold due to a variety of real-world distractions.

In 2023, jun and Nasa re-connected creatively, this time slowly building a new album with Nasa’s now further entrenched synth and drum-heavy sound.

The project, entitled ‘Music to My Eyes’, drops Summer 2025 on Uncommon Records via digital and limited edition digipak CD.

The album centers around the story of our protagonist pushing and clawing his way through the valleys and peaks towards greatness until he is suddenly confronted with the horrifying price of his lifelong pursuit.

Uncommon Nasa provides a succinct, scintillating soundtrack for this sci-fi version of a film noir indie flick with an amalgamation of grating synths, punchy, hard-hitting drum programming, and swirling, ambient sound blasts containing a tinge of 80s electro funk.

Nasa’s peculiar chop-and-bop sampling method, mixed with innovative instrumentation, envelopes jun’s guttural baritone in a hazy, dark atmospheric sonic accompaniment, underscoring the saga with an insidious, foreboding urgency.

“F.E.B.”, aka Fuck Every Body, is the perfect way to set off what is sure to be one of 2025’s most intriguing, distinctive underground Hip Hop releases.

“F.E.B.” will be available to stream and cop on all major digital streaming platforms on this Friday on Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2025).
