“One of the most frightening things for me as an artist was that I dropped out of school,” says Joe Budden. “There was no fallback, that was plan A, B, and C.” Budden came through to Styles P’s Juices For Life on Malcolm X Boulevard in Brooklyn to talk about his health, his newborn baby, and his evolution as a hip hop artist. Joe credits the birth of his son as the inspiration to “be more conscious” of the meals his family eats. Styles and Mrs. P hooked him up with a juice blend consisting of pineapple, banana, cantaloupe, and strawberries. Joe named it Budden Summer, a strong wordplay on Budding Summer.
