Jeffery Middleton, Hunter Thomas Elward, & Other Members Of The Mississippi ‘Goon Squad’ Awarded Donkey Of The Day

Jeffery Middleton, Hunter Thomas Elward, and other members of the Mississippi “Goon Squad” have been awarded Donkey Of The Day.

Last year (1.24.2023 to be exact), six white Mississippi sheriff’s deputies Christian Lee Dedmon, Daniel Opdyke, Jeffery Middleton, Hunter Thomas Elward, Brett McAlpin, and Joshua Hartfield–collectively known as “The Goon Squad”–thought it was a good idea to run up in a home in Braxton where Black men–Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker–were staying at the time and torture them while hurling racial slurs at them.

Not only was the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office the subject of a $400 million lawsuit, the officers have since been sentenced to 17 to 20 year prison terms.
