After dropping one video after the next (with the most recent being for his single “MaNyfaCedGod“) from his recently released album ‘4:44‘, Jay-Z takes a different approach by releasing his first interview in the longest time via the Rap Radar Podcast.
During the interview, Jigga chops it up with Elliot Wilson & B-Dot about being more open on the album, everything that went into putting ‘4:44‘ together with No. I.D (with development starting on October 2016 & recording starting on January 2017), the money phone line on “The Story of O.J.” that had many rappers in their feelings, & more. The biggest standout in the interview is where he touches on the beef between himself & Kanye West.
Hov had this to say about Kanye’s public meltdown:
“You don’t put our kid in that space; don’t talk about anyone’s kid on stage. You can’t bring my kids and my wife into it. Kanye knows he crossed the line; he knows the problem.”
With this being Part 1 of the podcast, other parts of this interview will be available in the near future.
