'I Was Suspended For Exposing Hate Speech' College Student Explains Her Actions

Chloe Long explains why she published images which led to her suspension as a student union officer. Members of a university sports club were pictured wearing t-shirts with slogans which referenced rape and homophobia.

BBC Stories has since replied with this statement:

“Since the release of this video, Lancaster University have informed us that some of students who wore the t-shirts have been suspended for 12 months from the university and fined between £200-£500. They have assured us that Lancaster University does not tolerate hate speech.”
