Heem Drops ‘Long Story Short’ Album + ‘The Realest’ Video feat. Benny The Butcher

Heem releases Black Soprano Family debut project ‘Long Story Short’. ‘Long Story Short’ is hosted by DJ Green Lantern & features appearances and collaborations with Benny The Butcher, Rick Hyde, Boldy James, DJ Shay, & Jansport J.

Benny The Butcher’s new global deal with Entertainment One (eOne) for his Black Soprano Family (BSF) imprint is already paying dividends. The imprints first release, ‘Benny The Butcher & DJ Drama Presents: Gangsta Grillz X BSF Da Respected Sopranos’, debuted in the top 10 on all major DSPs.

The Black Soprano Family (BSF) consists of Rick Hyde, Heem, LoveBoat Luciano, Jonesy, FlexxBabyy, Young World, & DJ Shay (RIP).

One of the new talents Benny brought into the BSF fold is Heem, who was predominantly featured on ‘Da Respected Sopranos’. Thriving in his role as closer, Heem will put a bow on BSF’s 2020 with his new project ‘Long Story Short’. From the same trenches, ‘Long Story Short’ is bound to draw parallels to Benny and Green Lantern’s ‘Butcher On Steroids’ (2017) mixtape.

“I feel like I’m at my best, in my prime right now and Long Story Short is my gift from God” Heem declares. “He put me here to a voice. It’s always a pleasure working beside my big bro Benny; he gave me all the game I need to be great.”

With a long and decorated career that includes a veritable slew of classic mixtapes and productions, if anyone knows about discovering and championing emerging young talent, it’s Green Lantern, “Heem comes from a long line of Buffalo based spitters developed by the late DJ Shay (including Benny, Westside Gunn, Conway, etc.) and when Shay hit me to work on Heem’s solo project, I was 100% in. Being from upstate myself, I’m always in tune to what’s bubbling and Heem’s been on my radar for a minute. It’s only right we lock in now and take it to another level; ‘Long Story Short’–its go time!”

Along with the release of ‘Long Story Short’, Heem also released the video for “The Realest,” featuring Benny The Butcher.
