EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

  • (40:16) Gillie on his recent feud with Cam Newton

Gillie: “He’s speaking personal stuff. I’m speaking football. He said Jalen Hurts wasn’t a top 10 quarterback. All I said was he accomplished something that couldn’t which is winning a Super Bowl. He went into all that personal shit. So what? I’m supposed to be the bigger man? F*ck no, I’m Petty Murphy, man. Eddie Murphy’s nephew, man, f*ck as we talking about….I’m past it. I ain’t got nothing against Cam. I’m just speaking facts and as long as you shoot at me I can shoot back.”

  • (44:10) Gillie says NFL experience doesn’t shield players from criticism

Kazeem: “As a guy as accomplished as Cam could look at you and be like, yo, how can he tell me about football given everything that I’ve accomplished?”

Gillie: “Okay, so you could look at me in this space and say how could Cam come at me in this space when he a low as* boy compared to me in this space?”

Kazeem: “Touche”

Gillie: “In this space, he can’t f*ck with me. He don’t make the money I make in this space. I ain’t little boyin’ him. That’s like he don’t tell Steven A. Smith. You can’t talk about football. No. He going there and kiss some as* man and be on ESPN. Man, don’t tell me what the f*ck I can’t talk about just because you played in the NFL, you wasn’t better than Jalen Hurts. I don’t give a f*ck where you played at. The stats show that. The winning percentage show that.”

  • (48:02) Gillie ultimately confirms he has no issues with Cam Newton and that he was just talking football

Gillie: “Listen, me and Cam is two grown ass man. I don’t got no issues with Cam. At the end of day one on his podcast, I can’t beat him at nothing. And bro, I ain’t even taking no personal shots at him. I just said he dressed corny. He wear a bow tie and a motherf*cking jersey. We can all agree that’s some corny sh*t…other than that I speak football bro. You mad at me because I’m speaking football”

  • (50:51) Gillie says he doesn’t have beef with Johnny Manziel because of what Drake did for his son

Gillie: “I don’t care what Drake wear. My son passed away, right? And I didn’t have no relationship with Drake like that other than DMs. You know what I mean? And he had a concert in Philadelphia and he said rest in peace to Cheese. So it wouldn’t even matter what Drake did from here on out there. That’s always going to resonate with me more than anything. So when you show me that you f*ck with me, it don’t matter that you pulled Johnny Manziel because that’s your man too. And I ain’t got no problem with that.”
