Fox Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch has been awarded Donkey Of The Day for endorsing 2020 election fraud claims.
Knowing the reputation of Fox Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch, it comes as no surprise that he has awarded a well-deserved Donkey Of The Day.
When ex-president Donald Trump lost re-election back in 2020, Fox News hosts went out of their way to endorse 2020 election fraud claims swearing up and down that the election was stolen from Trump.
Murdoch, owner and chairman of Fox Corporation which owns Fox News, added fuel to the fire by endorsing those same 2020 election fraud claims as well (by proxy, of course).
Either way this situation went down, Fox News is now the subject of a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit that has been filed by Dominion Voting Systems this past Monday (2.27.2023).
Fox News had this to say in response to said lawsuit, “Dominion’s lawsuit has always been more about what will generate headlines than what can withstand legal and factual scrutiny, as illustrated by them now being forced to slash their fanciful damages demand by more than half a billion dollars after their own expert debunked its implausible claims.”
Fox News continued with “Their summary judgment motion took an extreme, unsupported view of defamation law that would prevent journalists from basic reporting and their efforts to publicly smear FOX for covering and commenting on allegations by a sitting President of the United States should be recognized for what it is: a blatant violation of the First Amendment.”
There’s more but we will let Charlamagne Tha God take over from here…
