Is Shook Ones Pt. 2 Top 10 hip-hop songs ever?

When one says “Let’s battle, let’s drop some bars.”, Shook Ones Pt. 2 is the first instrumental that comes to mind. The words are clear, “Ain’t no such things as halfway crooks…” Havoc, the other 1/2 of The Infamous Mobb Deep crafted this masterpiece in 1995, and ever since then Shook Ones has been used for beefs, rap battles, samples, raves and most recently slayed by TDE in the 2013 B.E.T Cyphers

Shook Ones is a great instrumental to showcase rapping skill. It’s grimy with hard hitting snares that remind you of the back alleys of New York. When one hears this beat they immediately think “hip-hop”. This is what people mean when they say “real rap”. And the bars go right along with it. With chilling lines such as “..”Nuff shots to share for all those who wanna profile and pose, rock you in your face, stab your brain with your nosebone…” This joint here is on another level, this is something EXTRA.
