Media personality Karen Civil announced via her Twitter that Lil Wayne did not drop the $51 million lawsuit against Birdman, he’s just filing it in their hometown of New Orleans, LA.

A lawyer has confirmed Civil’s claims, according to published reports.

“The lawsuit has not been dropped,” said the lawyer. “The forum for the hearing of the claims is in the process of being transferred to courts in Louisiana.”

The Jasmine Brand had obtained documents stating that Wayne dropped the lawsuit “without prejudice” which means that it can be filed again at any time, which is what Weezy seems to be doing.

The lawsuit was originally filed in January after the YM captain claimed that he was not paid his $8 million advance he was promised after turning in his long awaited album, ‘Tha Carter V‘.

Things still appear to be quite ugly regarding the feud between Wayne & Cash Money. During a recent club appearance, he threw major shade at his former label when he said “Fuck Cash Money!!!” while promoting his upcoming ‘Free Weezy‘ album.
