After J. Cole dropped ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive‘ just 23 days after announcing its release, the album was set to have the best first week sales for a hip-hop album of 2014. According to Hits Daily Double, the ‘Born Sinner‘ rapper’s third studio album has debuted at number one on Billboard 200 charts with 361,120 copies sold.
The Fayettenam native has knocked America’s sweetheart Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ album out the top spot, outselling her by more than 80,000. ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive‘ is the Dreamville CEO’s highest selling album compared to his first two projects, ‘J. Cole: The Sideline Story‘ & ‘Born Sinner‘.
