dance Immersion proudly presents the Legacy Summit, a one-of-a-kind professional development and concert experience running from August 6th–9th, 2025 in Toronto.
This four-day immersive summit will explore the African musical and movement roots of hip hop, jazz, house, krump, and more — offering an unparalleled opportunity to train with leading local and international artists.
Centered around the theme “African Roots, Musical Routes, and Future Branches in African American Movement Cultures”, the Legacy Summit invites Black dance participants (ages 15+) to deepen their choreographic voice and improvisational skill in an empowering, community-driven environment.
The summit features world-renowned faculty from throughout the USA and Canada including:

- Dr. ‘Funmi Adewole
- Brinae Ali
- Mark “Brui5er” Sheats
- Marquisa “Miss Prissy” Gardner (the Queen of Krump)
To close out the summit, dance Immersion will present “Experimentations – An Improvisational Choreographic Concert”, a dynamic performance event showcasing original works by the Summit’s faculty alongside featured guest artists.
