CVS Manager Morry Matson aka #CouponCarl Awarded Donkey Of The Day For Calling Cops On Black Woman Trying To Use ‘Fraudulent’ Coupon

Seeing that racist white people love to call the cops on Black people for every little thing every week (or every day, at that matter), I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at this point.

According to Essence Magazine:

CVS Health has apologized after a white manager in a Chicago branch called the cops on a black customer after accusing her of using a fake coupon.

Camilla Hudson shared her experience on Facebook, which included a video she shot of the incident. She says that the manager, later identified as Morry Matson, challenged her when she attempted to use a manufacturer’s coupon for a free product. He accused her of trying to use a phony coupon, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

“So, THIS just happened: I had the police called on me for attempting to use a coupon @ the CVS Pharmacy located at 6150 N. Broadway in Chicago!” Hudson said in her viral Facebook post.

When Hudson tried to argue her point, Matson called the police. In the video, she can be seen telling Matson that she would wait for the police to come. As he calls, Matson appears nervous, even shaking as he talks on the phone.

While describing Hudson to police, he calls her African-American to which she responds “I’m black. Black isn’t a bad word.”

No action was taken by the police when they arrived.

“We sincerely apologize to Ms. Hudson for her experience in one of our stores,” CVS said in a statement issued to Block Club Chicago. “Our Region Director in Chicago contacted Ms. Hudson as soon as we were made aware of this incident. CVS has begun an investigation and we will take any corrective action that is warranted to prevent it from happening again.”

As for Matson, he is running for alderman of the 48th Ward on Chicago’s Far North Side. He was also a delegate for President Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign, Block Club Chicago reports.
