Baller Status | NBA commissioner David Stern officially announced his retirement date on Thursday (October 25), revealing that his days in the league will come to an end in 2014.
According to ESPN.com, the longtime league commissioner will retire on February 1, 2014, 30 years after he took charge of the league. Stern’s successor will be deputy commissioner Adam Silver.
He told owners of his plans during their two days of meetings, and the board unanimously decided Silver would be his successor.
