The fallout over Chicago Police dashcam footage showing a 17-year old being shot 16 times by an officer, has shed the national spotlight on another police shooting case in which police footage has not been released to the public.
According to AURN, quoting an attorney for the family of 25-year old Ronald Johnson, left, on the night of his death, he was riding in a car with friends when it was pulled over by police. Johnson reportedly tried to run, which triggered a foot chase by police; none of the officers firing their weapons.
The attorney further states in the article, that during the chase, another officer–George Hernandez–pulled up in an unmarked police vehicle, jumped out with his gun drawn, firing five shots within seconds while Johnson was still running.
