Hailing from Canada, Hip Hop artist Es releases the video for his single “The Do Better Challenge“.
This is social media as we know it in this day and age. Anyone who has frequented social media will be able to identify with someone inside or outside of their circle who fits the description.
“This jam is a summary of the many wack things I’ve observed on my Instagram and Facebook feeds over the past few years. The moral of the story is… ‘Do better’!”
About Es:
Based out of Mississauga (suburb of Toronto), Es is a student of hip hop. Inspired by golden era hip hop, Es makes a conscious effort to capture the essence of hip hop with hard beats and raw rhymes. His introduction to hip hop came in the mid to late 80s, drawing inspiration from legendary acts such as EPMD, KRS-One, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, and Run DMC.
It wasn’t until 1991 that Es began putting pen to paper to craft his own rhymes. Attributing his current style of hip hop to a mix of 90s heavyweights such as KRS-One, Masta Ace, Common, Talib Kweli, A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, and Pharoahe Monch, Es would officially begin his musical journey releasing music in 2007.
Fast forward 12 years to 2019, Es’ journey to deliver quality music continues. With 3 quality albums under his belt, several favorable album reviews online, college radio chartings and festival performances, his 4th solo album (and 1st vinyl release) promises to be another solid addition to his catalog for lovers of true school hip hop.
