California lawmakers have been awarded Donkey Of The Day for banning schools from requiring staff to notify parents of their child’s gender pronouns.

As America becomes a more LGBTQ+-friendly country, there will always be problems that will come about because of it.

Case in point… not too long ago, lawmakers in California thought they were doing a good thing by passing a law that will ban schools from requiring their staff as well as their faculty to notify parents of their child’s gender pronouns.

Brandon Richards, a spokesperson for Governor Gavin Newsom, tried to rationalize this decision by saying the following in a statement…

This law helps keep children safe while protecting the critical role of parents. It protects the child-parent relationship by preventing politicians and school staff from inappropriately intervening in family matters and attempting to control if, when, and how families have deeply personal conversations.

It’s kind of a lose-lose situation for teachers and administrators or anybody that’s being asked to do this. I don’t think it’s safe for students. I do not think that we are the right people to be having those conversations with a parent or a guardian.
