Shake ya body over to me!

Genre-defying artist, and Bass virtuoso, Brady Watt, continues to redefine his path with his new single “SHAKE”, which is now available.

“SHAKE” highlights another distinct facet of Brady’s ever-evolving musical journey and captures the unique essence of life on the road; navigating the excitement and rush of performing nightly in front of thousands, with the inevitable off-stage loneliness that is a byproduct of being on the road.

Brady wrote “SHAKE” in hotel rooms and backstage spaces while touring with O.A.R.

After co-producing (along with DJ Premier) writing and performing on O.A.R.’s 2024 summer anthem “Gonna Be Me (The Friendship Song)”, Brady turned what was supposed to be a one-off collaboration, into becoming an honorary member of the group and joined them for a 37-city U.S. national tour; and a daytime TV performance of the single on “LIVE with Kelly & Mark“.

The song’s inspiration comes from a true-life encounter at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee where an admiring fan handed him her number on a poker card-a gesture that would go on to ignite a torrid romance.

I wanted ‘SHAKE’ to embody the highs and lows of life on the road,” Brady stated. “It’s about the exhilarating energy of performing and connecting with fans, but also the yearning for personal connections that come with being on the move constantly. The story behind the song is completely authentic, and it’s a reminder that even in the most fleeting of moments, something meaningful can be born.

“SHAKE” follows an impressive run of singles from the innovative virtuoso, including “Godspeed” with Jim Jones, “Angels Will Fly” featuring Sauce Walka, Royce 5’9”, and Bun B, “Without You” featuring Talib Kweli and Conway The Machine, “Pistol Whip” with Rome Streetz and 38 Spesh, and “Nobody Home” featuring Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk.

Further solidifying his status as a true genre-bending artist, Brady also co-produced and co-wrote Jack Harlow’s “Same Guy” featuring Adam Levine to producing cutting edge tracks like the Westside Gunn-assisted “The Narcissist”, and BLP Kosher’s “Endless” with DJ Premier.

Brady Watt also continues to captivate audiences with his ground-breaking “Bass & Bars” series, which has now surpassed over 100 million views and has featured guests with cultural icons such as Travie McCoy, Ice-T, Melle Mel, DMC (of Run DMC), Chuck D, Havoc (of Mobb Deep), Erick Sermon, Jadakiss, Pharoahe Monch, Warren G, MC Eiht, Xzibit, Matisyahu, and AZ among others.

Earlier this week, Brady released a new “Bass & Bars” episode and performance of Black Sheep’s classic “The Choice Is Yours” with Dres.

The release of “SHAKE” marks yet another exciting chapter for Brady Watt, as he continues to push the envelope creatively and embrace his singer/songwriter side.
