Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has been awarded Donkey Of The Day.
By now, luxury fashion brand Balenciaga’s controversial Spring 2023 ad campaign has made its rounds all around the world.
As we already know, with controversy comes everything else that comes behind it.
As a result of the backlash they received because of said ad, Balenciaga thought it was a good idea to a $25 million lawsuit against the production company behind the campaign, North Six, Inc. as well as set designer Nicholas Des Jardins and his company.
The problem with this is… Balenciaga signed off on the ad!!!
For those that don’t know, the ad in question featured children posing with BDSM harness-clad teddy bear purses.
The brand tried to apologize for their recklessness in the following statement via Instagram…
“We strongly condemn child abuse; it was never our intent to include it in our narrative … Balenciaga reiterates its sincere apologies for the offence we have caused.”

But as we can see, the damage has already been done.
