Stop chastising the president': Azealia Banks defends Trump's 'Muslim ban' and tells 'disgusted' Rihanna to 'shut up'
Azealia Banks is back to stirring up trouble online — this time with Rihanna.
The outspoken rapper went on Instagram Sunday morning (Jan. 29) to voice her opinion about President Donald Trump's new executive order banning citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. During her rant, Banks set her sights on Rihanna, calling into question the singer's immigration status and criticizing her tweets slamming Trump over the executive order.
"As far as Rihanna (who isn't a citizen, and can't vote) and all the rest of the celebrities who are using their influence to stir the public, you lot really REALLY need to shut up and sit down," Banks wrote.
She added, "But I can say that as an American who enjoys her safety and overall ability to maintain a certain level of ignorance as pertains to the world outside of our borders, I am 100% shook about open borders and would be reallllllllllllly [sic] scared for my self and my family if any parts of that war began to become real on this soil."
Rihanna, who recently participated in the pro-women and anti-Trump rallies, subtly replied to Banks' attack with a kissy face selfie on Instagram. "The face you make when you a immigrant," she wrote in the caption. The singer also referenced Banks' alleged sacrificing of live chickens using the hashtags #stayawayfromthechickens, #iheartnuggets and #saveourhens. See the post below.
This is one of Banks' many online feuds, which have involved the likes of T.I., Iggy Azalea and Erykah Badu.
Banks would later respond with the following video below…
