While it has been a little over 16 years since singer Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash, it’s still hard for her fans (myself included) to accept her death as it happened the way it did. Especially with knowing that she had a bright future ahead of her before her life was cut short back in 2001, it makes it even harder for the fans–and of course, her family–to accept her demise that much more.

This past Friday (August 25, 2017) was the anniversary of her passing. Along with fans & the media honoring Aaliyah (Baby Girl as she was affectionately known) with trending topics & more, one of her fans–up & coming producer/filmmaker Jimir Reece Davis (aka Amorphous) decided to take it a step further by creating what seems to be a controversial documentary–titled “AALIYAH: The Inside Look“–which follows her life & everlasting legacy up until 2017.

Amorphous had this to say about the documentary:

“As the sole creator of the documentary, this project has been such a daunting task – yet I am so proud of what I have been able to achieve. Aaliyah has been an integral part of my life ever since I was four years old. I have created Aaliyah tributes ever since I was six, and last year I even was able to release my Aaliyah tribute remix EP through Paper Magazine. However, ever since I was little, I have dreamed of creating a documentary that truly documents everything in her life, presented in a format which could rival those of big budget documentaries. And finally, years later, I can say that I have accomplished that.”

I have not had the chance to give this fan-made documentary a watch as of press time but you can give it a watch for yourself below…
