Producer Amadeus360 taps Ras Kass, M.O.P, Nems, Buckshot, and more for his new album ‘The MPC Jedi’ plus shares the official animated music video for his “How The Block Sound” single featuring Ras Kass and M.O.P.
Mentored by the legendary Kid Capri in the ’90s, producer Amadeus360 has put in years of work honing his craft and, subsequently, producing songs for the likes of Kool G Rap, Busta Rhymes, Sheek Louch, Paul Wall, among others.
Inspired by Pete Rock’s ‘PeteStrumentals’, and DJ Premier’s “New York Reality Check 101”, the self-proclaimed “Beat King” sets out to cement his legacy in the pantheon of producers still carrying the torch for raw, undeniably gritty Boom Bap Hip-Hop with his new album ‘The MPC Jedi’.
Released today (5.12.2023) on major all digital streaming platforms via Soulspazm, the album features the singles “Set If Off“, “Warfare“, “Gangsta Boogie”, “Pop Off”, “Still World Famous”, and the De La Soul-co-signed rework of the Dilla-classic “Stakes Is High“.
Amadeus enlists a cross-generational lineup of spitters across the album’s 18 tracks, including newcomers Lil Dee and Nems, as well as legends such as M.O.P, Ras Kass, Keith Murray, among others.
“I am a massive fan of Star Wars… I incorporated my MPC techniques of using samples that trick the mind into hearing the beat in ways that haven’t been heard before. The concept was to use different artists with different styles to bring out the artistry that their fans have yet to hear…. I’ve often been told, ‘You can flip it in ways no one could hear coming.’” –Amadeus360
‘The MPC Jedi’ follows Amadeus360’s 2020 collaborative album with Ruste Juxx, ‘James Brown of tha Underground’, and his 2021 full-length collaboration with ‘Termanology 360’.
Along with said album, Amadeus360 shares the official music video for the headbanging Ras Kass and M.O.P-anchored album opener–“How The Block Sound”–which received an animated treatment by Carlito Way (who also illustrated characters for Adult Swim’s hit TV show “The Boondocks”).
