All across America on Friday (8.18.2017), one cop was murdered while five other cops were injured, according to sources.
Officer Matthew Baxter & Sgt. Sam Howard were allegedly responding to a suspicious person report in Kissimmee, Florida and took some bullets not even five minutes of pulling up to the scene while doing a routine check. Both cops were sent off to Osceola Regional Medical Center. Baxter, who worked for the Kissimmee Police Department for three years, succumbed to his wounds at the hospital while Sgt. Howard, who’s been with the same police department for ten years, is currently in critical condition.
During a news conference, Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O’Dell claimed the police department is currently looking into whether the two were ambushed. According to sources, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting with the KPD still searching for a fourth suspect.
Kissimmee Mayor Jose Alvarez released a statement about Baxter & Sgt. Howard stating:
“The entire city of Kissimmee is in mourning. We pray for all law enforcement who are out there, protecting our community.”
Meanwhile not far away in Jacksonville, two cops who pulled up to the scene off a report of an attempted suicide caught bullets in the doorway of a house the minute they arrived on the scene. Other cops have stated that there was gunfire going both ways leaving the alleged suspect dead.
Two cops were also shot during a conflict outside of a Fayette County, Pennsylvania grocery store ending with the suspect being dead. According to sources, both cops were taken to the hospital and are currently in critical condition.
The shootings come almost two months after 12-year NYPD veteran Miosotis Familia was killed in the line of duty in the Bronx.
