50 Cent’s ‘Power’ Renewed For Season 6 + Season 5 Premiere Announced

With the Season 5 premiere yet to be under way, premium cable network Starz has gone ahead of schedule and renewed Power for Season 6.

In addition to that, 50 Cent will make his directorial debut on the first episode of said season–according to Starz.

With all that in the air, the “Power: Season 5” will premiere on 7.1.2018 (on a Sunday).

Carmi Zlotnik, President of Programming @ Starz, said:

“As ‘Power’ wraps production on season five, we want to acknowledge and thank our spectacular ‘Power’ team for producing another great season. We are also pleased to announce a pick-up for season six.”

From Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and show creator Courtney Kemp, Power is a drama straddling the glamorous lifestyles of Manhattan’s rich and infamous and the dark underworld of the international drug trade.

The cast is led by Omari Hardwick as drug kingpin and nightclub impresario James “Ghost” St. Patrick, Joseph Sikora, as his brother in arms in the drug business, Tommy Egan; Naturi Naughton plays Ghost’ fierce, loyal wife Tasha St. Patrick, Lela Loren as his first love, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Angela Valdes, Larenz Tate as Councilman Rashad Tate and Brandon Victor Dixon as the St. Patricks’ attorney, Terry Silver.
