As a true Hip-Hop head that has seen the music & the culture go from the streets to the corporate boardroom, it’s hard for me to feel sorry for former Def Jam president & (currently) co-owner of 300 Entertainment, Lyor Cohen in his time of need. It’s hard for me to have any sympathy for him mainly because he’s part of the reason the commercial Rap game fucked up as of 2016.
Knowing that I’m saying all this, it’s worth noting that Cohen was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism. With that in mind, he went out his way to document his “road to recovery” in what looks like various vlogs.
