19 year old TikToker Madison Marie Russo has been awarded Donkey Of The Day for running a GoFundMe cancer scam.

Another day, another (GoFundMe) scam.

19 year old girl Madison Marie Russo–of Bettendorf, Iowa–aka Maddie was arrested and charged with first-degree theft on 1.23.2023!!!

Now, how the hell did that happen, you ask???

A former student at St. Ambrose University, Russo took to GoFundMe as well as TikTok to take note of her fake health struggle.

Making matters worse, Russo thought it was a good idea to make up a story about battling Stage 2 pancreatic cancer, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, “and a tumor the size of a football that wrapped around her spine.”

Everything started coming to a head back in 1.11.2023 when anonymous witnesses claiming to be medical professionals reached out to law enforcement, stating that they noticed “many medical discrepancies” in her social media posts about her false cancer battle.

It’s also worth mentioning that a spokesperson for the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was able to confirm that they never had any contact with Russo…

“We can confirm the person in question has had no contact with the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation and has never spoken at any of our events.”

Back in October 2022, Russo herself made this statement to the North Scott Press…

“I remember hanging up the phone, and I was a mess. I was literally bawling, but somehow I ended up getting the courage to wipe away my tears and went back into class, which now, when I think about it, was pretty crazy.”

Russo continued with…

“Life has been crazy. It’s like a Catch-22. I can’t win for losing. I feel like I’ve been rocked to my soul, and right now, everything is kind of uncertain. I just want to know my game plan, and right now, I don’t know what that is.”

Russo has since been banned from GoFundMe because of her actions.

She also posted $10,000 bond four hours after her arrest.

Russo is set to be back in court 3.2.2023 where she can be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
