11 Republicans have been awarded Donkey Of The Day for voting against the PACT Act to provide aid for veterans.
It never seems to be a day in time where “Donkey Of The Day” and “Republican” can’t be used in the same sentence.
This time around, the Senate recently approved the PACT Act which will expand VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances.
To no surprise, 11 Republicans took it upon themselves to vote against said bill.
The 11 Republicans in question are:
- Mitt Romney of Utah
- Rand Paul of Kentucky
- Mike Crapo of Idaho
- James Lankford of Oklahoma
- Mike Lee of Utah
- Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming
- James Risch of Idaho
- Richard Shelby of Alabama
- Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania
- Tommy Tuberville of Alabama
- Thom Tillis of North Carolina
It’s also worth mentioning that these same 11 Republican senators voted against the bill back in June.
As a result, the 11 Republican senators in the hot seat have been awarded Donkey Of The Day for their actions.
