Detroit rapper Royce Da 5’9″ and New York producer DJ Premier connected for one of 2014’s most critically acclaimed albums. While many critics and Hip Hop followers praised Royce and Premo’s collaborative project ‘PRhyme’, the effort was overlooked by some general music fans.

The duo has been putting out acclaimed material for years, and yet they have not been recognized on a larger scale like other Hip Hop figures. With that in mind, it made sense to have Royce and Premier give their choices for the three emcees and producers that are most slept.

Premier named two beat makers from Virginia and his protegé as his picks for underrated producers. For his list of most underrated rappers, Royce went with a veteran Philly rhymer, a GOOD Music representative, and a toss-up between two emcees that launched their careers in the early 2000’s.
