Charlamagne Tha God asked Boyz II Men if they ever felt like they’ve ever reached the end of the road, a play on their hit music single, with their career. The group which now consists of three members, instead of four, confessed that when peers doubted their ability it gave them pause.

Charlamagne Tha God: No, No! Ya’ll not gonna make me believe that things got so bad that ya had to perform at the puffer belly? Which one, in Ohio or Pennsylvania?

Boyz II Men: It was down south -Boston.

Charlamagne Tha God: This place holds about 100 people.

Boyz II Men: Yeah, and it was only 50 people there. We did it. That was after [selling out of] The Garden. Right at the end when we decided to walk out, it was like you have to be here all the time. … So, people were kinda like prove yourself to me. We took the approach that we had to start all over again. So, we did whatever we had to do.

Charlamagne Tha God: When ya performed “End OF The Road” at Puffer Belly’s, did it feel like the end of the road?

Boyz II Men: Yeah! Honestly. The good thing about Puffer Belly’s is that a month after that we went to Japan and sold out 5, 6, 7 -thousand seats.
