Video: Mayhem & Soulslicers feat. M-Dot, Edo G, & Big Shug – Patriots

This is the second video off Mayhem & Soulslicers impending ‘Soul It May Seem‘ album, aptly titled “Patriots” for it’s play on the NFL team’s colors. Legendary Boston MC’s Edo.G (Special Teamz/A&E), Big Shug (Gangstarr Foundation), & seasoned veteran M-Dot (EMS) accompany uprising lyricist Mayhem (EMS), as they pay homage to their city, colors, & team.

While avoiding the cliche tribute record, each emcee uses individual verses, utilizing wordplay to articulate separate colors (Red, Blue, Silver) amalgamating into the “Patriots” voltron style. Big Shug provides the hook on this conceptual single, Soulslicers lay the drums, & DJ LP2 handles scratch duties.
