About D.P. Da Prophet:
D.P Da Prophet was born 1987 in the Capitol of Virginia known as the city of Richmond. Growing up he has always loved music but it was not until age 12 where he realized that music would be what he was destined to live. Listening to the radio one day he found himself starting to freestyle in his head. Soon he started recording over instrumental beats on his tape player. At age 16 he recorded his first song called “Life” and performed it at a talent showcase where he was noticed by an indie label in the local area. Interested in his different style and true lyrics they signed him shortly after that.

Tired of waiting in line to start his project, in 2006 after his eighteenth birthday he moved to Tampa, Fl. to attend The International Academy of Design & Technology for Recording Engineering & Business management. After attending for a year and building connections in the industry he returned to VA where he was offered to be A&R of an indie label which he also owned a third of. There he helped the main artist on the label get a feature from Lil Boosie on a remix called “Southside Superstar” which received national airplay. He also was involved in putting together one of DJ Smallz top 10 Fear Factor Southern Smoke mixtapes of 2008 with his artist Ruin and DJ Smallz that also landed a feature in Ozone Magazines 2009 Super Bowl Edition.

In between all the phone calls and emails he still found time to write a song for Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club PSP program. His song touched on global warming and a better future for the kids. The President of Sam’s Club heard the record and loved it. Wal-Mart shot a video for the song and premiered it at their Fall Managers Meeting in front of thousands of GM’s, managers and also the owners of the company where he gave a speech and received a standing ovation for his work. As America prepared for their first black President; Da Prophet wrote a tribute song “Time For Change”. He performed it at the Obama All Black & White Party and shot a music video for it which received many hits online. The way his song touched people inspired Prophet to start focusing on his career as an artist once again.

Later in 2009 he began going back and forth to Atlanta GA recording in major studios. Over the last couple of years D.P has recorded songs and worked with artists such as Diamond (Ms. 32), Ace Hood, Wayne Wonder, Laws (Justice League), Verse Simmonds, Cyco Blac, Crime Mob, Young Capone, Huey, PSC(Grand Hustle) and has had production from producers Marvelous J, Mike Da Rockman and Goldhands. From 2010 forward D.P Da Prophets presence online grew tremendously with his music being featured alongside some of the Industries biggest names on major hip hop and blog sites worldwide in the USA, UK, Romania, China, Russia and Indonesia to name a few. As tragedy struck Haiti D.P once again took to the pen writing the emotional song “Tomorrow” ft. Jae Hart which gained worldwide recognition online and lifted the hearts of many.

With over a quarter million downloads of his music online D.P Da Prophet has created his own label imprint LIVE FOREVER THROUGH MUSIC LLC and teamed up with XRECORDS FAT Thomi, an Industry Legend as well as a former Arista Executive and Roots. Distributed through “The Soul Company of The South” Malaco Music Group, who have been in the business for over 40 years selling Millions of records. It is time to make room for a new star to climb the charts and make music that will last for years to come.
