Hailing from the Bronx, New York & nurturing themselves daily in ounces of the best weed strains, we are introduced to B.I.C. a.k.a. Bitches Is Crazy. You can tell from their name that they are really out of bounds & don’t give too many fucks on a regular day. Although there’s a light attempt to create a euphemistic acronym as a homage to their goal of “raising bitch awareness” & encouraging others to follow their mantra of “don’t be a bitch“, the group is basically asking all peers to enjoy their own lives, goals, & opinions for the sake of both communal benefit & a better personal life. Also to note, their use of the B-word is without isolation or indication of gender & can apply to all races, genders, & creeds. With all that being said, their music follows suit by encouraging fun, exploration of the senses, self acceptance, a steady desire to get the fucking money, & of course a consistent affection of Mary Jane.

Members of the group include Yesus 199, Pete, Izzy Oz, & Ill Spills but there is a fifth member, Se Word, who is lost but not forgotten & whose spirit remains as the glue that brought them together & is still bonds them to this day. Having met in the era of Myspace & top 8’s, these uncanny MCs have gone from rudimentary rhymes & 72 bar freestyles to a more cohesive collaboration that is metered out in the studio & balanced by fraternal competition. Each member is not featured on every track & there’s room to breathe as an MC & as a listener as you go through their two mixtapes, ‘Influence‘ & ‘T.H.C.: The HighGo Chronicles‘.

After spending a few hours in Vegas, the groups’ low-key Bronx Boulevard headquarters it becomes apparent that this is the starting point of many of their ideas & the order that comes from their chaos. Comparable to the real Vegas & city of sin, there are only a few rules in the the B.I.C. hub with the two main edicts being; no smoking … of cigarettes that is, & the other being, “thou must light up“. Don’t come to their spot empty handed especially if you intend to have fun & engage in any conversation with the group or any of the several girls that seem to be usually present & equally chain smoking the goods.
