About Confucius MC:
South London’s Confucius MC is a unique voice, rising above the noise and cutting through the clichéd conversations.

The son of a Irish/British teacher and a Grenadian musician, the young Con fell upon the teachings of his namesake – the Chinese philosopher Confucius – after becoming enamored with the movies of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, & the like.

After buying Wu Tang Clan’s iconic ’36 Chambers’ album with his high school work experience money, the seed was planted. But it wasn’t until he heard A Tribe Called Quest’s Dilla-produced ‘Beats, Rhymes, & Life’ that his own unique brand of lyricism began to blossom.

As one half of live duo =CoN+KwAkE=, Con has opened up for the likes of Mos Def, Public Enemy, & Slum Village; the MC/drummer tag-team’s unique stage show spawning a formula that Kwake has since masterfully translated to his backing of MC’s like Jehst, Dels, & the mighty DOOM.

His debut release ‘The Highest Order’ (YNR Productions) – produced entirely by Parisian beat-smith Keor Meteor firmly established Confucius MC as one of London’s emerging new talents.
