Taxstone Being Arrested By NYPD & More

Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell was arrested on Monday (1.16.2017) in connection with the shooting which left Brooklyn rapper Roland “Troy Ave” Collins injured and his bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter dead. According to AllHipHop, the feds claim that they found Taxstone’s DNA on the gun used in the Irving Plaza shooting last year.

The DNA was apparently discovered via 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semi-automatic handgun’s trigger, hand grip, & magazine. Taxstone was allegedly seen on video in the green room with Troy Ave & McPhatter before said shooting.

Troy Ave’s DNA was also found on the weapon. The “Bang Bang” performer can be seen on video firing shots inside the venue, but Troy continues to claim that he was acting in self-defense.

Taxstone had recently been beefin’ with Troy Ave, and the NYPD feels that Taxstone publicly threatened Troy before the shooting. “Man, I don’t know what happened with that situation,” said Taxstone about the Irving Plaza incident.

The popular “Tax Season” podcaster & social media personality was arrested on federal weapons possession chargesTaxstone is expected to be arraigned this week.

Before this incident, he had previously served time in state prison for attempted weapons possession & attempted robbery.
