‘In Transit‘, a six-song EP, works effectively as an endearing introduction to the promising DFW rapper, Lou CharLe$. Fully produced by J.Rhodes, ‘In Transit‘ is laced with smooth yet powerful production.
‘In Transit‘ does a good job of balancing the soft keys with hard hitting percussion bringing the listener into an intimate place. ‘In Transit‘ is an unadulterated look into Lou’s world & one of his most personal projects yet.
Whether it’s an introspective song like its title track & “Mama Say” or an energetic banger like “RunTelDat”, Lou shows off his lyrical prowess with candid & skillfully delivered rhymes. Lou does a great job touching a multitude of topics in a short amount of time with great depth & grace, providing his audience with an awesome soundtrack to their own personal journey.
“Even though I’ve released successful projects in the past, ‘In Transit’ is representative of the beginning of a new adventure. With every day that passes I learn little bit more about myself and ‘In Transit’ is the soundtrack to that self-realization that’s currently occurring.
On all six songs I made a conscious decision to speak from an honest and true place in an effort to give a full snapshot of myself as person. I wanted to make ‘In Transit’ a more personal project with songs like “Make A Way” or “Oh Damn!”
I speak from points of view that I never have before as an artist. Who knows where the road will lead me, but I just wanted the project to be an accurate and honest snapshot of where I am now in my journey, whether that’s addressing my faith, my finances, my romantic life, my friends, etc.
Great music that stands the test of time is always derived from some sort of truth and that’s what I set out to do on ‘In Transit’ tell MY personal truth” ~Lou CharLe$
