Dave Hollister - The MANuscript [Album Artwork]

It’s been two years since Dave Hollister’s 2014 album, ‘Chicago Winds…The Saga Continues‘, and we at The DigiSpot are glad he still has the music bug!!! On Friday (9.9.2016), Hollister will follow up ‘Chicago Winds‘ with ‘The MANuscript‘, but no need to wait until then to hear it because you can give it a listen below!!!

The album is ten tracks of nothing but grown folks music, seemingly geared towards teaching the men about how to properly love & cherish a woman. The first offering, “Definition Of A Woman“, praises the qualities of a good woman, then Angie Stone appears on the doo-wop duet “Receipts“, a song that sees both Hollister & Stone providing proof of who does the most work when it comes to contributing in the relationship. On “Creation (H.E.R.)“, Hollister praises everything about being blessed to find a woman perfect for her. “She’s so perfect everything about her,” he sings.

On “Blind“, Dave focuses on the horrible feeling of losing a good woman: “You might as well be invisible,” he sings to the shunned. While the bulk of the LP is a pamphlet for men on how to treat & praise women, “Let Him” is lesson for the ladies: “Leave him or let him cheat in peace.” The set then wraps up with an up-tempto joint for the dance floor called “Geometry” where he admires the symmetry of his woman’s body. “You make it hard for me / I get stuck on your masterpiece / Your geometry,” he sings on the chorus.
