The Rock For President 2020???

After seeing Donald Chump, my bad Trump, get elected last year & inaugurated back in January, it seems to the outside looking in that anybody with the right connects & the right amount of money can be the President.

According to RollingOut Magazine:

Dwayne Johnson is “officially” running for president.

In case you missed it, during last night’s season finale of “Saturday Night Live,” the former wrestler used his monologue to share the big news.

Joined on stage by Alec Baldwin, the actor, who was celebrating his induction into “SNL’s” Five Timer’s Club, announced both his candidacy and a possible running mate. “He’s already in the Five Timers Club, and like me he’s very well liked,” Johnson teased, leading Baldwin to believe he’d been selected. “He’s charming, universally adored by almost every human alive… Mr. Tom Hanks!”

Then, out walked Hanks rocking a Five Timers Club smoking jacket identical to that of Johnson’s. Hanks graciously accepted the nod, leaving Baldwin out of the running. Before we knew it, the dynamic duo had moved on to discussing politics and why they’d be good candidates. “In the past, I never would have considered running for president. I didn’t think I was qualified at all,” Johnson explained. “But now I’m actually worried I’m too qualified.”

“Well, the truth is, America needs us,” Hanks replied. “No one can seem to agree on anything anymore except for two things!”

“Pizza and us,” Johnson declared.

Later on, Hanks explained how, together, they’d win by a landslide, with himself bringing in the senior citizen vote – due to time served in World War II “in like 10 different movies.” While the Jumanji reboot star was adamant he’d get the minority vote because “everyone just assumes that I’m whatever they are.”

Following a handful of quips about helping the nation through tough times, including a possible natural disaster, like “if California splits off and falls into the ocean,” the pair concluded their campaign with a reveal — a massive “Johnson Hanks 2020” banner accompanied by a storm of red, white and blue confetti.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Johnson has expressed his interest in running for president. “What has been so flattering over the past week — and really humbling and very eye-opening — is the amount of American people who actually want to see this happen,” he recently told ET.

We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.
