Wu-Tang affiliate Hanz On recently chopped it up with The DigiSpot about his new label Hanz On Music Entertainment, his upcoming album ‘Barca‘, labelmate Method Man’s upcoming album ‘Crystal Meth‘, & more. You can give what was discussed in more detail a read below…

VannDigital: How did Hanz On Music Entertainment come about?

Hanz On: I loved doing music, I was just at a time where I had to grow.. I felt like I had to go out on my own and make it happen. When you strip away all the superficial things music and the industry has to offer, and you learn the business side of it, one day you wake up and say “I can do this shit on my own”. Never saw a broke executive – that being said, the result was starting the label and trying to maintain it on a professional level.

So tell us about your upcoming album ‘Barca‘.

I think the album shows maturity.. it shows my growth and how far I came to this point.

Will we get any more singles from ‘Barca‘ before it’s release?

Yes, after “Big Sky”, the next single “Smoke Like We Do” featuring Method Man, Ghostface Killah, & Wigs (Theodore Unit).

We know there’s been talk about Method Man’s upcoming album ‘Crystal Meth‘. Will it be released anytime soon?

Honestly, it’s not my place to say, what I can say is the big homie’s pen is hot right now and ‘Meth Lab 2 (The Lithium)’ will be out this summer.

Since ‘Barca‘ will be your final album, will there be anything in the works for you afterwards?

Other than putting all my efforts into the ‘Meth Lab 2’ campaign, there’s a couple of possible projects in the future that we will be involved with.

Will Hanz On Music Entertainment expand into other lanes or will the label be just focused on music?

Yes, at the moment we are exploring brokering some boxing sponsorships for product placement. We are looking into signing a couple acts also… want to make it a more rounded entertainment company by adding maybe a pop act.
