Editorial: Will Chox-Mak (@Chox_Mak910) Bring Back North Carolina Hip Hop???

Chox-Mak is currently tearing the game down and it started early this year. He has a lot of viral hits, but the most-notable ones are his singles “Make It Last” and “NLA“. Both songs have lightyears of differences, but they represent the same man, the versatile Chox-Mak. He has a lot going for him and his sound is something a lot of executives for major labels are impressed by, which has made him one of the fastest-rising stars in the game.

A lot of stars rise, but it doesn’t guarantee a spot in the sky. At the same time, Chox-Mak is consistently dropping dope music and he is off the heels of his ‘Life After Def‘ EP. With that project doing well and with several DJs adding Chox-Mak to mixtapes and radio rotation, he is leading the next generation of hip hop stars, representing the New South. But, is Chox-Mak the next North Carolina artist to blow, as he continues the lyrical trend started by J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar.
