K. Sparks: Vintage Art [Album Artwork]

VannDigital.com had the pleasure of previewing K. Sparks new album entitled ‘Vintage Art‘ set to be released on September 2nd. Most albums remain with a few producers to create classics and/or provide consistency to the artist’s creative point of view. The Queens, New York emcee selected Kurser and Fero Navi to help depict his lyrical strokes of rhymes and it cohesively fit the title as a work of art.

Channeling a bit of Kanye West‘s “Mercy” [via sampled by Super Beagle], K. Sparks delivered “Whateva” which is a lyrical head nod, lofty horn playing eargasm produced by Fero Navi. ‘Vintage Art‘ is intensely lyrical in which he calls out a change for the better of men in our communities, rappers who try to fit in and his life changing events.

Speaking on life stories in K. Sparks1985“, he sticks to his New York rhymes and delivers a Hip Hop Jazz storytelling record. “I live for better days just to help a better nation…” Gathering Loaded Lux and Charmingly Ghetto for “Feminization Remix” he chooses to continuously use his voice as a platform and speaks against the ignorance. Considering what has been going in our nation regarding poor messaging, unnecessary killing and violence from police in urban communities, he placed a knowledge knockout at the right time.

Showcasing his witty rhymes in “Repetition” the emcee takes “I ain’t gonna do it” excerpts from 5 year old vine sensation CeCe, which tones down the seriousness of the project and challenges other rappers to be original and right forth lyrical. Kurser producing “Zone” features the sultry voice of Tina Quallo giving K. Sparks another fun record that brings you back to the busy life of New York City. “…Here’s a wristband homie welcome to the party/that we’ve been on been strong/spreading love no mainstream 100 ground like the subway/ E train day train…”

Overall, the album is sure to please Hip Hop heads and your lyrical ears. In the meantime, you can order your copy here and for more information visit KDotSparks.com
