A new report, titled “Forward Through Ferguson“, suggests establishing a statewide, public database to track police shootings & developing a statewide plan to deal with mass demonstrations that focus on preserving life.
The 16-member Ferguson Commission is also recommending the consolidation of the metro area’s police departments & municipal courts.
The 198-page report was released to the public on Monday (9.14.2015). The commission recommends changes in several areas to address social & economic divisions highlighted since the shootings.
The panel also recommends establishing school-based healing centers to address behavioral & health issues.
