Double S’ single “Yana Darg” is an exemplary representation of Grime, capturing the energy, skill, & talents of the UK’s biggest, homegrown music genre.
With its thundering beat & distinctive sound, courtesy of The HeavyTrackerz (Meridian Dan’s “German Whip“, Stormzy’s “Not That Deep“, Wiley’s “Chasing The Art“), “Yana Darg” is a blistering example of Double S’ experience & authenticity as a mic controller.
Hailing from the Grime breeding ground of Tottenham, Double S recently released underground anthem “Style & Flows” featuring Boy Better Know’s CEO, JME. The record, also produced by The HeavyTrackerz, gathered widespread support from Rude Kid, Huw Stephens, Trevor Nelson, Annie Nightingale, DJ Target, Manny Norte, Mistajam, & beyond, culminating in playlist support across national platforms including BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss TV, MTV Base, Channel AKA, & Flava TV.
Playing a solid part in the legacy of grime, Double S co-founded his original Shoddy Crew with fellow grime royalty Chip in their local Northumberland Park Estate. Double S has since collaborated with fellow Tottenham gems Skepta, JME, & Frisco as well as Tempa T, Chip, & Cadet throughout his career whilst he has previously shared the stage and performed with Wiley, Tinie Tempah, Stormzy, & more. With an uncompromising passion & application to his music, Double S evolves into one of Grime’s mainstays and provides on-going, exciting prospect for the scene.
