Charlotte, North Carolina native BlacTrac delivers his first album ‘Grew Up‘. He was the producer of the late artist Donkey Cartel who was shot down by the police in a local mall in Charlotte on Christmas Eve 2015, who attracted national attention across the nation.
BlacTrac was furious & sad about the situation and decided to direct that energy into an album about his life. ‘Grew Up‘ is about becoming a better man for his family.
In the album; he reflects on his childhood, speaks on his marriage (a married artist who actually speaks on marriage?…), raps about the year that changed & helped him grow up, talks about the changes he went through as he was maturing, talks about becoming unbalanced when juggling the roles of being a husband, father, student, musician, & more.
He writes, produces, mix, & master all of his music. With his straight forward lyrics & catchy melodies, this DIY musician plays a lot of roles and seems to play them well.
