5 Men Killed In Crash After Drunk Driver Tweets ‘Drunk As Fuck…YOLO’

YOLO Kills...Think Accordingly!!!

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) | By now, we all know we’re not supposed to drink and drive — it’s one of the most important lessons before getting behind the wheel. Likewise, we know we’re not supposed to text and drive. So really, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that a combination of the two — being drunk behind the wheel and tweeting about it as it happens — contributed to a fatal car crash this weekend in California.

Ervin McKinness, 21, was driving in a Nissan Sentra after midnight with four others, aged 20 to 23. Though full details of the accident are not yet known, it’s believed that the Sentra blew through a red light in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. before crashing into a wall. All five were killed as a result.

McKinness’s Twitter account, however, is providing clues as to what caused the accident. Shortly before the crash, McKinness tweeted that he was “drunk [as f***] going 120 drifting corners.” He also tweeted “YOLO“, a popular abbreviation for “you only live once.”
